Marine Gautier

Born in Montréal, Marine Gautier was raised in Canada where she studied arts before coming to Paris to study fashion design. She worked several years in the design studios of luxury brands such as Balenciaga, Iceberg and Carven. When she had her 1st child, she decided to quit the fashion industry. Her sense of justice and search for freedom got her to work in education for a non-profit association. It’s her encounter with ceramics that brought her back to creation.

After few years learning the techniques with different craftsmen, she developed a series of jewelry in ceramics. Characterized by their geometrical shapes and unexpected use of color. They represent a reflection on freedom, openness, and inclusivity. Inspired by design and architecture of the past century and retro futuristic movements, my jewelries are presented like miniature wearable sculptures in search of an utopian society.
