Born and raised in tropical Malaysia, May is acclimatized to all-year-long summer weather, weekend beach trips and the buzz of city life. Taking a jungle retreat and sleepovers with friends is always a nice treat from the busy city life. A city girl she is, having resided in big cities such as Los Angeles, Tokyo, Singapore and London.

If May is not too busy traveling and looking for baby waves to surf, she loves admiring nature's beauty and discovering artisans at work. Her most significant contribution in her career path is representing women in tech (Samsung, Alibaba, SAP). Lately, she's engaged with sustainability projects to reduce consumption and responsible production, creating social impact using technology.

Growing up, May’s always been a passionate ballerina and performed in world dance festivals all over the world including Germany and Costa Rica. Her early travel days led to many discoveries of people, food and culture. It hasn’t stopped since, as she does a lot of yoga and meets people from all walks of life during yoga, surf, and ski retreats.

Holidays are spent usually in nature, either in the mountains, hidden rural villages, or isolated islands. May’s mind is intrigued by curiosity when she comes across an item of beauty. She would always be asking about its origins and how it’s made, admiring the beauty from within. Everything and everybody has a story to tell, no matter how old-fashioned one person or a thing could seem to be - she’s about to find out.

As she discovers Puglia, her love's roots and its traditions, she's found a new world of slow living and slow fashion. Not only is Italy rich in its heritage and craftsmanship, but also home to many houses of fashion that grace the catwalks of Milano and fashion week worldwide. When she arrived at the magical, yet rustic Masseria Potenti, the home of her beloved, she started donning vintage garments from the beautiful Maria Grazia’s collection. Her first such garment is a gorgeous vintage pyjamas laid on the bed side upon arrival.
