Andrea Semeghini, through his artistic project VANADIO23, develops an eccentric and playful visual universe where sex, humor, and provocation blend to encourage people to embrace their sexuality with irony and free themselves from social norms. His illustrations explore the world of sex and eroticism without boundaries or taboos, inviting an open and lighthearted dialogue around desire and identity.
With VANADIO23, Andrea aims to make everyone feel safe, free, and comfortable with their sexual identity, including gender expression, orientation, and the relationship with their body. His work seeks to positively and playfully challenge cultural norms around sexuality, promoting the recognition and celebration of diverse sexual identities.

Value in the details

Made in Italy, drawn in Italy

All products are entirely handmade in Italy. Each piece, especially the plates, is individually drawn and finished by me, so every item is one of a kind.
The process requires three firings: the first for the raw ceramic, called biscotto; the second for the red rim; and the third for applying the illustration, which I seal with a transparent glaze (cristallina).
Andrea draws directly on the ceramic using a pencil and apply the red details with a special “pepper red” pigment. This slow, artisanal process gives each piece its own personality and allows me to merge craftsmanship with a playful, provocative artistic vision that defines VANADIO23.
