Judit Cuadros - Artisan portrait

Judit Cuadros

Barcelona, SPAIN

I like to imagine that the pieces I create will hold meaning in people's lives—whether as gift for a loved one, a commemoration of a special event, or a declaration of love (including self-love).

Judit discovered her love for jewelry-making in 2016, stumbling upon the craft by chance but instantly captivated by the alchemy of working with metal. She learned from experienced artisans while also studying Artistic Jewelry in Barcelona.

With a background in art, design, illustration, and printmaking, she finds inspiration in graphic arts as well as in everyday objects, architecture or even mechanisms. Drawing plays a central role in her creative process, evident in her engravings or in the shapes she creates.

Value in the details

Combining a mix of techniques

Her pieces are initially conceived in her notebooks, a resource she relies on in her creative process. From there, she transitions to working with materials.
Judit combines direct metalwork (typically silver), wax sculpting, and 3D modeling, using techniques commonly used in printmaking in order to engrave some of her pieces.
