Giorgio di Palma was born in Grottaglie (Taranto) in 1981.
After graduating from high school with a degree in archaeology, he spent several years abroad (Hungary, Portugal, Germany) as a volunteer or working as a computer technician.

In 2010 he decided to return to Grottaglie and to open a ceramics workshop, favored by the experience of his father, a professor of drawing and owner of an art studio.
His ceramics that were not needed are full-size reproductions of everyday objects, devoid of functionality but loaded with aesthetic and conceptual meanings. With ceramics Giorgio enjoys transforming the useless into the eternal and immortalizing moments.

In 2017, ICMEA (international ceramic magazine editors association) awarded him the Fule Prize during the world competition for emerging ceramists. His works are exhibited in numerous museums and public and private collections in Europe, Asia and America. He has participated in several artist residencies, made videos and published books about them.
