This Portuguese jewelry brand was founded by Cristina, a graduate in geological engineering that has always had a passion for rings. The curiosity of trying to understand how they were made led her to the world of jewelry. Cris Maria Jewelry became her full time job and life project in 2017.

The gold plating applied to jewelry cannot be guaranteed to last forever.
just so you understand, gold plating is the result of a process in which a layer of gold particles is created around the silver piece. this layer can be of various thicknesses. the greater the thickness, the more durable the plating, but also the more expensive it becomes.
gold-plated pieces are therefore more fragile and susceptible to color loss over time. the duration of the original condition depends on various factors, such as the use of chemicals on the skin, perspiration and even the individual pH of the skin. for this reason, proper care of gold-plated jewelry is particularly important.

Cris uses wax carving, organic casting and silversmith techniques to create her pieces.
Lost wax and organic casting to achieve the irregular, rough and imperfect appearance and then, the traditional silversmith techniques to complete them.
