Crafted in Italy
This bottle takes inspiration from the "tokkuri," the typical bottle for Japanese sake and liquors, but it features a larger mouth and is also more capacious!
The material used for the creation of this ceramic is a black stoneware, slightly brown in some areas. It is not a commercial clay but rather artisanal, crafted by an artisan on Lake Orta who sources all the materials for the mixture locally, from different areas of Piedmont. Created on the pottery wheel and hand-decorated by Giulio, it expresses influences from Japanese ceramic firing, a source of great fascination for the artisan. The deep black color evokes the spirit of raku, and his goal is to recreate modern ceramics that still pay homage to tradition.
