Behind Ame Jewels is Carlotta.
She studied Fashion Design at Politecnico di Milano, graduating in 2007.
After completing a Master’s in Jewelry Design, she began working as a designer for several renowned Italian brands. From 2014 to 2016, she worked as a consultant for international jewelry brands. During this time, she also opened her first online store, combining her professional career with her personal passion: creating her own jewelry.

You might wonder...

Over time, any sterling silver jewelry piece exposed to air will tarnish especially if not worn. Silver tarnishes faster in areas with high humidity and air pollution. Chemicals like hairspray, perfume, deodorant, body lotion, bleach, etc., can speed up the tarnishing process. Oxidation is not a permanent color change and the jewelry simply requires a good cleaning to shine again. I do recommend to clean jewelry with specific products or otherwise you can scrab them with some toothpaste and rinse them. Use only water and soap for the gold plated ones.

Plating is a layer of gold that covers the silver jewelry. Over time, it’s normal for it to fade, especially on rings. However I use a strong plating (double than the standard one) that holds up well over time.

Handcrafted. Timeless. Personal.

All the jewels are born from an inspiration that quickly takes shape as a sketch and then becomes a wax or brass model, totally handmade. From this first prototype, Carlotta creates a rubber mold, which allows her to reproduce the original design countless times. This traditional technique is known as lost wax casting. Each piece is then individually crafted: filed, welded, assembled, polished, and engraved, resulting in a truly unique jewel. The process from the initial wax model to the finished jewel takes approximately 15 days, ensuring every detail is carefully crafted. This is what makes these jewels truly precious — the craftsmanship, the story, and the care behind their creation.
