Elsa is a ceramic artist from the Netherlands, based on the Silver Coast of Portugal.
Each of her pieces are crafted with great care and attention to detail, using a variety of hand-building techniques such as slab and coil work. As a result, no two items are the same and each piece has its own unique character.

Her work is characterized by the use of vibrant colours and playful shapes, and she enjoys experimenting with organic forms and tactile textures. In her work she find it important to maintain human touch and keep small imperfections visible. By doing this, her aim is to create truly unique pieces for your home that will last for years.

A little bit more about the artist:
Elsa was born into a creative family, with her father being a furniture maker and her mother a ceramist. From an early age, her mother introduced her to the world of ceramics, and ever since, her passion for working with clay has only grown. After completing her studies at the Art Academy in Rotterdam, she spent nearly five years working as a product designer for a well-known Amsterdam-based home accessories brand. Over time, her love for ceramics deepened, eventually leading her to found Studio Elsa — a ceramic brand and creative studio where she now shares her skills and passion through hand-building workshops and courses.
