Go manual, go slow, be cool!

With a background in Graphic Design, Micaela founded Pelo Rugs to combine her passion for graphics, textile art and craftsmanship. Micaela was born in Abruzzo and in now based in Bologna. She produces unique pieces experimenting with different textile techniques such as weaving, latch hooking and more.

She works in contrast with the fast-producing and fast-consuming world and approaches slow manual techniques used in the past, but with an attentive eye to contemporary taste and using also digital tools to design her pieces.
Micaela has a preference for recycled materials and dead-stock fabrics to create her pieces.
