The sweetness of dolce far niente

Carolina Venosi is an entrepreneur, architect and communication consultant born and raised in Rome, Italy.

After graduating in Architecture, Carolina worked for 8 years in marketing and communication in agencies, then became Marketing Director in a fashion company.
She later resigned to fully dedicate herself to her first project, Rome is More, which has now become a small business with a team of 4 people and its first flagship store in Testaccio.
Four years later, she has founded the brand "Domenica Italiana" to serve as a contemporary manifesto of Italian identity.

"I wanted to create something that would remind us every day of that special day of the week, dedicated to love and self-care, where time flows slowly and we seek for simplicity, like the gesture of lighting a candle" - she claims.

"Domenica" means "Sunday", that for Italians typically represents the day to gather around the table with friends and family, and most importantly, the day when time flows more slowly than any other day of the week. That's why Domenica Italiana scented candles are all inspired by traditional Italian dishes and, of course, made in Italy.

The main collection consists of nine candles, designed to be a fragrant synthesis of the Italian dish that inspired it.
Each dish has been visually represented following a photographic project directed by Andrea Di Lorenzo in collaboration with Naessi Studio.
