Circe Ceramiche

CECILIA GENINATTI

Circe Ceramiche

Turin, ITALY

Circe is a project that explores clay and color through furniture sculptures and everyday objects designed for the home. With a background in interior design and ceramic technology, Cecilia places the relationship between form, space, and perception at the center of her research.

Color is understood as an expressive language and an integral part of the design process, developed through continuous experimentation. A central theme is memory, both personal and collective, which is reflected in objects as a form of visual narration.

Through ceramics, Circe builds a dialogue between material and perception, creating unique, handcrafted pieces with attention to shape, proportion, and surface.

Cecilia's research stems from her studies in interior design: before focusing on ceramics, she trained in space and furniture design, an aspect that has placed a focus on form and its relationship with space and its inhabitants at the heart of her work. Alongside form, her interest has focused on color, its subjective perception, and the harmonious harmonies between different chromatic characters.

Trained in Turin, Florence, and Faenza, and selected by the Cologni Foundation as one of the young artisans of the future, Cecilia brings to her work a vision that combines design culture and knowledge of the material, respecting the times and processes of contemporary craftsmanship.

Value in the details

chromatic research

The core of the project lies in chromatic research: each color is studied and developed as the expression of a thought, a memory, or an emotion. Ceramic surfaces thus become narrative tools, where color is not a decorative element but an integral part of the formal project.
