Chimeras are born from the meeting of design, craftsmanship and ancient traditions.

Chimere lamps, made entirely by hand in Puglia, bring with them the history and light of Southern Italy. The ancient technique of crochet is combined with contemporary design, creating a unique sensory experience inspired by local landscapes and architecture.
Chimere was born from the vision of Alessandro Colazzo, visual designer, who wanted to breathe new life into his mother's art of tailoring.

Combining tradition and contemporary design, Chimere lamps illuminate environments through the unique textures of crochet. Each creation is an act of love, a slow and meticulous craftsmanship that celebrates tradition and offers an authentic experience.
Chimere lamps are inspired by the vision of Italian designer Bruno Munari who, with the creation of the famous Falkland lamp, brought yarn (filanca) from the textile realm to lighting. The metal supporting structure, made by Italian blacksmiths, blends with the weave handcrafted in Chimere's atelier, creating unique three-dimensional forms.
