8 e Mezzo comes from an idea of Antonella, a dusty passionate stone lover. After 5 years working in design studios in London, she relocated in Italy and decided to shape a sustainable project she had in mind for quite a few years. It started off during Covid when she was playing with some of her unloved pieces of stone (her family has a stone and marble business). After few trials she discovered that in 8 centimetres and half could be an ideal measure to give back life to some charming pieces.Hence the name of the brand which she knows bring a lot of responsability in conveying the ability of Italian maestros.

They began crafting a marble cutlery rest a friend required in white marble. After the first samples the production started to be focused on marble coming from disused stone and forgotten pieces. As she said, sustainability is a real mantra as we only used wastage and a real opportunity to tell our story about dusty and passionate stone lovers.
