Lorena Grippa

Milano, ITALY

"I handcraft each piece, allowing my hands, mind, and spirit to converse. My original idea becomes tangible without any compromise. Every detail is as I envisioned; I do not leave my workspace until I achieve this."

Lorena Grippa is an Italian jewelry designer who shifted her career to jewelry making as an adult. After studying at Bocconi University and working in finance, she pursued her passion for gold objects.

Her interest in jewelry was solidified during a stay in India, where she collaborated with female artisans in New Delhi, creating simple gold and semi-precious stone pieces. Upon returning to Milan, her adopted city, she found a master goldsmith to learn from, absorbing traditional skills.

From ideas to final pieces

Lorena handcrafts each piece of her collection in her workshop, using traditional mechanical tools that have remained unchanged over time. The first phase of the process begins with metal casting, followed by rolling and bench work, which includes filing, soldering, and piercing the metal, until the original idea is realized in the final piece.
