Imperfect perfection

Pietro Sganzerla opened his ceramics studio three years ago in the Ghisolfa district, in the north of Milan. After years of working across different studios in the city, creating his own space—complete with a professional kiln—marked a turning point in a journey that began when he was just fourteen.

Ceramics has always been at the core of his artistic practice. Today, Pietro works primarily with clay, creating both one-of-a-kind art pieces and functional design objects meant to be part of everyday life.

His style is driven by constant experimentation, where different techniques merge into a distinctive and recognizable language. His world is populated by anthropomorphic sculptures, inspired by classical studies and a strong fascination with tribal cultures.

Bold colors, expressive forms, and raw, physical gestures define his work. Each piece is designed to carry energy, personality, and character.
