I hold a degree in Economics but have always had a passion for jewelry. When I founded the Umikara brand, I combined my love for travel—specifically to Japan—and the sea with my passion for necklaces.

It all begins with the initial idea—an inspiration drawn from the sea, much like the brand's name (*umikara* means "from the sea"). Once the creative process is complete, the search for materials and the right stones begins, focusing on the colors and shapes that were envisioned.
