Simona Frigerio is an Italian sculptor and designer who, for over 20 years, has been creating a visionary and vibrant world of ceramics—a Wunderkammer of oneiric jewelry and contemporary sculptures. Her creative vision is the result of a rich blend of experiences, bridging studies in Psychology, fashion and advertising photography, and the prestigious Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in Milan.

Technique

Each piece is handcrafted with just a few essential tools. Using a painstaking technique, each bead is manually hollowed out to ensure extreme lightness. This process preserves the touch of imperfection and the value of the unique piece, while creating exclusive, small-scale artisanal series.

Are ceramic jewelry pieces heavy to wear?

Contrary to what one might think, they are extremely lightweight. Each element and every bead is hollowed out by hand using a patient and meticulous technique. This process ensures maximum comfort, allowing these material sculptures to be worn all day with complete ease.

Is ceramic jewelry very fragile?

Simona Frigerio uses high-resistance stoneware and refractory clays—materials that, after firing, become solid and durable. Although they are designed for everyday wear, they remain small precious worlds of clay: we recommend handling them with the same loving care reserved for an artwork or a unique talisman.

Will the piece I receive be identical to the one in the photo?

As each piece is entirely shaped by hand and finished with artisanal glazes, every creation is unique. Slight variations in shape or color nuances are the distinctive mark of the artist’s touch, ensuring that the piece you wear is truly yours—an unrepeatable amulet that celebrates the beauty of imperfection.
