Playing with Clay

Born in Lisbon, Portugal to British parents, Daisy has grown up immersed in different cultures. After studying art and design abroad, Daisy returned to Portugal to settle in to her country home and develop her craft with clay. Using hand-building techniques like slabs and coils, she takes a playful approach her making, adding different handle shapes to simple forms to create timeless objects.

Each item being hand-made from start to finish by the artist, allows for their unique nature to come through and for an escape from the mass manufactured world that surrounds us. No two items are the same, but they all come together to create a family, a celebration of colour and form.
