“Handmade ceramic to celebrate each ritual.”

Coraline is a French artist who grew up in Brazil. She started her career in fashion and did a second graduation in Arts when she moved back to France. In Paris she started to take ceramic classes and had an incredible connection with clay. During the pandemic, she build a little studio at home, took the time to practice, and naturally ceramics became more and more a part of her life. For her, working with clay it's a way to connect with herself, with the nature and the history of our ancestors. It's a key to slow down, and be more present, the practice can feel really meditative and therapeutic.

Each piece of handmade ceramic produced by Cora, is made with care and attention. She is passionate about food, so she likes to create pieces that can be part of this ritual, intended to serve good meals and to assemble people around a table. Every object is unique, whether it is part of a series or not, it will always have a singularity of its own. She also develops a more conceptual work of sculptures and large vases, where she can experiment and explore more of her artistic side. To be even more connected with the whole process of the creation, she composes her own and unique glazes from a deep research and tests.

She currently lives in Barcelona, working on her production at Bcn Clay Studio, teaches at various studios in the city and is happy to be able to share her knowledge and learn from others.
